Salt of the Earth USA has been working closely for the past several years to get the release of the names of the Native American Indian and Alaskan Native American Fallen Heroes from the DoD and Bureau of Indian Affairs. Source: DMDC's Defense Casualty Analysis System (DCAS) As of: May 8, 2017
"These individuals self-identified as American Indian/Alaska Native on official Department of Defense documentation. Self-identification doesn't differentiate between enrolled tribal members, non-tribal members, and people who have a degree of Native ancestry but no cultural connection to a tribal community. Many service members elect to leave their heritage blank on official documentation, therefore individuals may be missing from those being honored above."
